Sony Unveils The Xperia ZU Phablet

Sony Xperia ZU PhabletWe caught the first whiff of rumors on the Sony Togari phablet back in January.  Many have wondered how the enlarged phablet would hold up against the upcoming Sony Galaxy Note 3.

Finally, Sony unveils the Togari (Xperia ZU) and it signifies a couple of firsts in the mobile industry; a “smartphone” with the largest display in the market,  measuring at a hearty 6.44-inch and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor quad core processor, clocked at 2.2GHz. The new Triluminous display delivers impressive brightness, while maintaining vivid colors and naturally for a high-end device, it comes with a full HD 1080p screen resolution.

Sony added other top notch hardware specs as well including 2 GB of RAM, microSD card slot, 16 GB of internal storage,  built in 4G LTE support,  HD voice and 8 MP Exmor RS camera sensor with autofocus and HDR video recording. Also, measuring at mere 6.5mm thick, the Xperia ZU is currently the slimmest 1080p device in the market.
